Wall Insulation

Wall Insulation

There are many different methods of using insulation in the dry lining trade. We are going to break down the two main methods. The first being using a roll of insulation to insulation a partition stud wall. The second being fixing a insulated plasterboard into the fixed metal stud.

PPE should always be worn by the contractor who is handling and installing the insulation into the partitioned wall or ceiling

It is important to use a well experienced dry lining firm or team when insulating as using the wrong type of insulation on the wrong type of walls can cause your building damp, structural issues and even becoming a fire hazard.

Soundproof Insulation

Insulation has been test to improve soundproof. Although insulation may help it will never null the void of sound because insulation was not built to do that. A good combination of insulation, sound proof boarding and an experience dry lining team covering any gaps will always reduce the sound to the best it can be. Fibreglass insulation has been researched to be the best sound proofing insulation.

Celotex Insulation

Celotex is essentially the same as the more known insulation Kingspan. This is becoming a more regular used type of insulation. The main reason why Celotex insulation is used is due to the heat insulator factor is so high in the material used.
